Book your session

Book your rejuvenating bathhouse experience.


Arrive in good time

Fill out the online intake form, pack your swimwear & wet-bag. Arrive 5 minutes before your session.

Check in

Check in at the front desk, receive your towel. A team member will give you a run down on the facilities.

Get yourself ready

Change into your swimwear, pop your phone on silent and place in your locker along with your personal belongings. This is to ensure total relaxation for you, and privacy for other guests. Please also remember to remove any jewellery prior to entering the bathhouse.

Shower

It is important to take a shower in the amenities provided before you begin to move between the facilities, this helps maintain the purity of the bathhouse waters.

Rotate

We encourage you to warm the body first starting in the Steam Room, Infrared Saunas, Traditional Sauna, before then alternating between the cold & hot facilities.

Maintain purity

When exiting all heated rooms, it’s important that you refresh under the showers each time to maintain the purity of the bathhouse waters.

There is no wrong way to the bathhouse.  However, for those seeking to savour every decadent minute of the bathhouse experience, here’s our guide to elevate your bathhouse circuit.

Beginning

Begin your journey with a revitalising session in the sauna or steam room. Take a refreshing shower to cleanse and ensure the pools remain in their purest form.

Bathhouse Etiquette

Take a moment to read before entering the bathhouse, to ensure an enjoyable session for you and those around you.

Before entering the Bathhouse

  • Place your mobile phone on silent and leave safely in your locker
  • Tie up hair (unless short)
  • Wear swimwear at all times
  • Remove all jewellery

In the Bathhouse

  • Dry off prior to entering the saunas and always sit on a towel
  • Rinse off under showers when exiting sauna and steam before entering the pools
  • Keep conversations light and be mindful of volume
  • Keep hydrated throughout and enjoy our selection of organic teas and filtered water
  • Ensure to continuously rotate through facilities
  • We kindly ask that you end your bathhouse session at the allocated time.

Answers to some common questions

What is a bathhouse?

Unlike a spa, bathhouses provide a distinct social & community-orientated relaxation experience with a range of self-serve amenities that you can move through at your own pace. While a visit to a spa may be a rare treat, visiting a bathhouse is an excellent addition to your regular wellness ritual.

How do I book?

You can book by clicking the ‘Book Now’ buttons throughout or head to thebathhousequeenstown.try.be. Apple & Google Pay is available when booking on a mobile device. You can also email queenstown@thebathhousegroup.com or call +64 274 856 899.

Do you offer facials, massages & other treatments?

No, we do not.

Do you accept group bookings?

Absolutely. You can book for up to 4 people online. If you’re looking to book for more than 4 people, please email queenstown@thebathhousegroup.com.

Do I need to book?

Bookings are required and can be booked via our booking platform, emailing queenstown@thebathhousegroup.com or calling +64 274 856 899.

Do you need to be a member to visit?

No, you do not need to be a member to visit.

When are you open?

We are open 8:00am - 10:30pm, 7 days a week. The last 60-minute session starts at 9:30pm and the last 90-minute session at 9:00pm.

What should I bring & wear?

You will need to bring your swimwear, water bottle, and wet bag to place your swimwear in after your session. Swimwear must be worn at all times. Jewellery in the pools is not advised.

Do you have any women only or men only hours?

No, The Bathhouse Queenstown is a mixed environment.

Can I bring my phone, camera or recording device into the bathhouse?

Sorry, phones, cameras or any recording device are not allowed within the bathhouse. We encourage you to unplug, take a break and securely place your phone within a locker in the change amenities.

Are there age restrictions?

We are happy to welcome those aged between 16-18, however they will need to be accompanied by an adult. 18 and over may enjoy the facilities unaccompanied.

If I'm pregnant or have a medical condition, can I still use the facilities?

If you’re an expecting mother, we do not encourage you to increase or decrease your core body temperature dramatically by using the heated and cooled bathhouse facilities. We recommend those with a medical condition or expecting mothers to seek clearance from their GP before booking.
