These Terms & Conditions form a binding agreement between you (“Member”) and The Bathhouse Spa Queenstown Limited (“The Bathhouse Spa Queenstown”, “we”, “us”).
By purchasing a Locals Only Membership, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility – Queenstown Residents Only
1.1 The Locals Only Membership is strictly available to permanent residents of the Queenstown Lakes District.
1.2 Valid government-issued photo identification and proof of current residential address must be provided at sign-up.
1.3 The Bathhouse Spa Queenstown reserves the right to request updated proof of residency at any time.
1.4 If residency is found to be misrepresented:

The membership may be immediately cancelled;
-
No refunds will be provided; and
-
The Member may be charged the difference between membership pricing and standard casual session rates used.
2. Membership Inclusions
2.1 Membership includes four (4) 60-minute bathhouse sessions per calendar month.
2.2 Sessions:
-
Are for the Member’s personal use only;
-
Are non-transferable and cannot be shared, gifted or resold;
-
Do not roll over into future months;
-
Have no cash value.
2.3 Membership does not guarantee session availability. All visits are subject to booking availability and capacity limits.
3. Fees & Payment
3.1 Membership fee is $299 per month.
3.2 Payments are processed monthly via provided credit/debit card information.
3.3 By joining, you authorise The Bathhouse Spa Queenstown to debit the nominated payment method each month for the full membership term.
3.4 Membership fees are non-refundable except as required under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
3.5 If a payment fails:

Access may be suspended immediately;
-
Outstanding amounts must be paid before access is restored;
-
Continued non-payment may result in cancellation and recovery of the remaining contract balance.
4. Minimum Term Commitment
4.1 The Locals Only Membership has a fixed minimum term of twelve (12) months.
4.2 By entering this agreement, the Member agrees to remain liable for all monthly payments for the full 12-month term, regardless of usage.
4.3 Membership cannot be cancelled for convenience during the minimum term.
5. Early Termination
5.1 If the Member elects to terminate the membership before the expiry of the 12-month term, the Member must immediately pay an early termination fee equal to the remaining balance of the contract term.
5.2 The Bathhouse Spa Queenstown may, at its sole discretion, agree to an alternative settlement amount.
5.3 Termination requests must be submitted in writing.
6. Suspension
6.1 One suspension is permitted per 12-month term, for a maximum of four (4) consecutive weeks.
6.2 A minimum of 14 days’ written notice is required.
6.3 Suspensions:
-
Cannot be taken within the first three (3) months of membership;
-
Cannot be applied retrospectively;
-
Will extend the membership term by the duration of the suspension.
7. Auto-Renewal
7.1 After the initial 12-month term, membership will continue on a month-to-month basis.
7.2 After the minimum term, membership may be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice.
8. House Rules & Conduct
8.1 All Members must comply with Bathhouse Spa Queenstown policies and house rules, including:

Phone-free environment
-
No alcohol policy
-
Respectful conduct toward staff and guests
8.2 The Bathhouse Spa Queenstown reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership without refund for serious misconduct, policy breaches, or behaviour that impacts the safety or enjoyment of others.
9. Price Changes
9.1 Membership pricing is fixed during the initial 12-month term.
9.2 The Bathhouse Spa Queenstown reserves the right to vary pricing after the minimum term with 30 days’ written notice.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 Services are provided in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
10.2 To the extent permitted by law, The Bathhouse Spa Queenstown is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
11. Changes to Terms
11.1 The Bathhouse Spa Queenstown may update these Terms from time to time.
11.2 The current version will always be available on our website.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
